Fat Tuesday - McBreakfast sandwiches

I try the new crap so you don't have to! On the weekend I had to try the new McDonalds breakfast sandwich served on a buttermilk biscuit. I thought it would be awesome, I LOVE sausage and egg sandwiches, and I LOVE buttermilk biscuits....what could go wrong?
Well...stuff can go wrong. I mean, don't get me wrong, it wasn't an abysmal failure, but the buttermilk biscuit..isn't that great. It dries out the sandwich. It's almost like having a mouthfull of paste. It tastes ok, but the texture is....meh.
I also miss the egg puck. There's something so scrumptious about a whole egg in the shape of a perfect circle of egg goo that is extremely tasty. The only time I can forgo the egg puck is with the delectable McGriddle, which is the sausage, egg and cheese between two mini syrup-infused pancakes. HOLLA! Most amazing sandwich ever. Aunt Jemima makes a comparable frozen version which I discovered on a trip to Buffalo with my bff Court.
Later that night as we were stuffing our faces with American treats, it was time to try the griddlecake.
HOT DAMN. It was amazing. I believe after my first bite, my face looked something like this:
Unfortunately for me and my existing pairs of already-tight jeans, the Griddlecake/McGriddle is one of the worst things you could eat. As for the buttermilk biscuits, I'll take a pass...the McMuffin will suffice for now, until they come up with a low-cal McGriddle. As if.
