I think I've stolen this from somewhere unconsciously, but does that make a difference if I actually thought it too?

I don't know if it's just me, but for some reason I never, ever want people to know that their phone call woke me up. It could be 4:37am and I'd answer as if I'd been up for hours. It's like a weird, pride thing.

It happened this morning, my grandmother called and I even did a practice 'hello' but I guess she could still tell because the first thing she asked was if she woke me up. It was 10:30 when she called so I don't know if that's a valid normal question or not, but I was like "OH NO, no I was up" which was 100% a lie. I don't know if it's that I don't want the person to feel bad about waking me up, or if I don't want them to have the satisfaction of knowing they woke me up...probably the latter.
