Fat Tuesday - Two Awesome new finds...

I think you all should be well aware that Red Velvet with cream cheese icing is my favorite by now. Baskin Robbins came out with a new limited edition flavour "Red Velvet Cake" which is red velvet ice cream with a cream cheese ribbon swirled in. FUCKING AMAZING. I could eat it every day. I've only had it once but I'm going to have to have it a few more times until it's gone for good :( The ice cream is actually a lot redder than it is in the picture as well. Not like it matters. Just saying.

Second awesome find was Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts. I fucking love pop-tarts, first of all. I'm pissed as shit that Canada has like 4 flavours while our US neighbours get to enjoy like, 20. Fucking bullshit. But we all know how Canada gets the shaft....lame. I wouldn't have even known about these pop-tarts existence had it not been for one of my favorite websites, X-Entertainment. (Amazing 80's nostalgia website but it's so much more than that). Anyway. They taste like you'd expect them to taste, pumpkin-y with cinnamon. I used to only toast my pop-tarts on 1 but now I've found that the pastry is MUCH better on 3. If you can get your hands on these babies and love pumpkin pie like I do, DO IT. I have 3 boxes of bootlegged tarts and more on the way. I have to be stocked up, then I will ration. It's tough but these american snacks are worth it.

PS. I like pop-tarts WAY more than toaster strudels. I find its not really fair to compare since they are pretty different, but since people do anyway, I just wanted to throw that out there. Pop-tarts have WAY more variety, and could withstand a nuclear attack. Good luck worrying about a freezer chest when you're stuck in an underground hole for 20 years until it's safe to come out. My friend Andrew calls them "fallout food", which is fine by me :D
