Today, one of the only things I really loved about Toronto died.
The voice of CityTv, Mark Dailey died at 57 from cancer. He had prostate cancer, fought through it, but then more was found in his kidneys...
He's been at CityTv since I was born so I've never heard anyone else on that channel. He was funny and had a great weirdo sense of humour. I was probably about 16 or 17 when I finally saw what he actually looked like. I saw him on Queen Street outside the CityTv building once like 5 years ago and I said hi but was too much of a starstruck chicken shit to say anything else. LOL kinda sad considering he wasn't really a celebrity and would've probably been very nice (he did say hi back).
Here is a clip for those of you who've never heard of him. His voice is as recognizable to me as like, Gilbert Gottfried or James Earl Jones.
R.I.P. Mark :( CityTv will never be the same.
Aw...they just played his "CityTv...Everywhere". :(
