GET WITH THE TIMES, PEOPLE

I went to a couple of stores over the weekend, and to my chagrin, I saw a sign not unlike this one above.

Cash Only.

What? Cash only?? Is this the fucking dark ages? Who carries around cash anymore...? The stores I love are the ones that are cash only, but WAIT! We conveniently have an ATM IN OUR STORE that will charge you $2 to take out $20. So, CONVENIENTLY, you can wind up spending $22.50 on a bag of chips and a coke. LOVELY! So you are too cheap to get a debit machine put in, but you'll shell out to have a shitty extortion ATM in your stupid store? Screw you.

I don't know about you, but if I have cash in my wallet, it's as good as spent. This is why I like debit so much. We should be moving FORWARD people, not backward.
