I've never wanted to use wax strips before. I found no need, I don't think shaving legs is really as cumbersome as the commercials make it out....the girl always has a mess of shaving cream glopped on her legs, losing her balance, not seeming to be coordinated enough to....run a razor up her leg? Come the fuck on. It's the simplest thing in the world....but then I saw these Nair cold wax strips, that are CHERRY SCENTED AND HAVE GLITTER. Like, you couldn't suit it to me better....it worked. I caved.
Now, to wax your legs, you have to let the hair grow a little bit so the wax can grab hold and rip out properly.
I sort of went overboard. Instead of letting the hair grow a little....I just let it grow for months. Please note--I'm not a disgusto--I still took care of my underarms. Let's not be silly. But my legs? Who even sees them? I wear pants 100% of the time.
I let it grow so long that if the bf had seen, it would have been "Welcome to Dumpsville, Population: Me".
It was so long, that I looked down and thought there was a cat hair on my leg but when I went to brush it away, I realized that long-ass strand was attached to my leg.
Gross.
That just meant though, IT'S WAXIN' TIME! I was so excited to try these beautiful yummy smelling torture strips.
I slapped one on my leg and ripped it off. Funnily enough, I sort of enjoyed the pain. It felt good ripping hair out. Either I'm deranged or I was high off the cherry fumes. (It really does smell wonderful....I still don't get why they put glitter in it though. Really? Is that necessary? Not that I'm complaining....I love glitter even though Kesha has sort of tainted it....). One thing I didn't like, is how long it took. I have OCD about certain things and one thing would be stray hairs left behind. I went over and over and over every square inch. I probably won't be going back to wax...shaving is good enough for me....but nice product overall. I recommend if you're a waxy type of gal. (Or guy. If that's your bag).
